SINGAPORE: Eatbox is one of those places where I will squeal with delight wanting to try everything, yet it will take me a while to make a second trip. So, therefore, I have started with four, and hopefully, I will update this blog again shortly.
Artbox originated from Bangkok, Thailand, and since 2017, Artbox has been bringing the Thai Night market atmosphere to Singapore. So those who have missed Aritbox since the start of the pandemic now have a chance to relive it. Artbox has taken up a 9000 sqft space at Tekka Place from September this year to bring you the first-ever creative food hall. It is an Instagram Paradise.
These are the stalls we tried.
Okinawa Onigiri
For those who miss Japan, you will definitely appreciate what Okinawa Onigiri is selling here. It is impossible to go wrong when you have Japanese Rice with luncheon meat, egg, mentaiko and a deep-fried prawn. Ebi Fry is at S$5.9, and if you don't want the prawn, it is their Grilled Mentaiko at S$4.5. It's a hand full, and it is very satisfying.
Satay Ummi
Satay Ummi specialised in pan-fired Satay. It is Satay without the stick. The meat is marinated with satay seasoning, which has a lovely lemongrass aroma. The only thing missing is the smoky char you get from satays cooked over a grill. Despite the shortcoming, this turned out to be quite delicious. Prices start at S$8 for chicken, and mutton is S$10.
Butcher The Burger Bar
Butcher The Burger Bar is no stranger in the burger scene. They have two other locations, one in Sembawang and the other in Katong. We got the Holy Cheese (S$12.8) which comes with American Cheese and Gilled Mozzarella. For all the cheese lovers out there, you got to try this! It's no doubt a fantastic burger.
Ethos Beverages
We had Rose Milk Tea from Ethos Beverages. It tasted just like Bandung with tea. It was an excellent way to finish up the meal.
