The restaurant is named after its founder, Khun Jae Muay Kia, who started selling porridge on the streets of Chinatown five decades ago. Over the years, the porridge has gained a reputation for being one of the best in Bangkok. The restaurant moved to its current location around 10 years ago, and since the passing of the founder two years back, her children have taken over the business.

Today, the restaurant is run by Jae Muay Kia's son, Jes, 50, and her daughter, NongNoo, 40. They continue to use the family's secret recipe to make the porridge, which is made with the freshest pork and the best local ingredients.

You can also choose from different types of eggs, such as salted egg and century eggs. If you can't decide, just order a bowl with everything.
